Templates
All our Gibson style, Martin style and Taylor style pickguards are cut on a router table using templates before hand radiusing and finishing the edges and polishing.
Using a template is the best way to ensure a good fit, due the compound curves involved. Our templates also give the diameter of the soundhole rings they fit in inches and mm. They are available here for you to download and check. When printing them out, make sure they are printed full-size - some PDF printing options default to a 'fit to page' value.
Be careful with reissues and modern versions of old favourites - their pickguards are often different to the originals!
