FanTaStick Western
The FanTaStick Western is an undersaddle transducer that was developed to transmit the real guitar sound with all its natural frequencies, directly from the source of the sound. The FanTaStick includes a metal stereo endpin jack and a detailed instruction manual. How does the FanTaStick differ from other undersaddle pickups? K&K engineers use a "super-light" construction principle. Only ultra-thin material surrounds the piezo-crystals and ensures that the corpus wood vibrations reach the crystals with virtually no interference. This means that electronic post-processing to improve the sound is not required anymore. At the same time, this construction method results in another positive effect: the FanTaStick is extremely flexible and adjusts easily to any arched base. To balance the volumes of each string, K&K measure each crystal separately within a nano-inch range. Only six crystals of exactly the same height are combined to one FanTaStick. Each crystal is fitted according to a defined direction of polarization. Even playing in detuned open tunings is possible, because the FanTaStick already functions with low string pressure. The FanTaStick can be directly connected to an amplifier or mixer. However, for optimum adaptation of impedance of this extremely high-ohmic pickup to standard line or amplifier inputs, a K&K preamp is recommended.

For the FanTaStick Classic, we select piezo-crystals that specifically agree with the mellow sound of the nylon strings. The FanTaStick includes a metal stereo endpin jack and a detailed instruction manual. How does the FanTaStick differ from other undersaddle pickups? Only ultra-thin material surrounds the piezo-crystals and ensures that the corpus wood vibrations reach the crystals with virtually no interference.
