I'm a great fan of K&K acoustic instrument pickups and preamps. Since 1984, K&K Sound has manufactured top-quality pickups, microphones, and preamps for a wide range of instruments, including acoustic guitar, archtop/jazz guitar, resonator guitar, upright/double bass, banjo, mandolin, saxophone, flute, piano, harp, violin, cello, accordion, harmonica, and more. PowerMix Pure and PowerMix Pure XT
The PowerMix Pure System is a dual-source pickup/pickup combination with onboard or external preamp. It consists of: * Pure pickup (Mini, Classic, or 12-String). * FanTaStick Pickup, an undersaddle pickup that delivers unbeatable volume, balance, and clarity. * PowerMix 2-Channel Preamp, an onboard preamp with amazing mixing capability. If you are looking for both the sweet, warm tone of the Pure pickup plus really high stage volume before feedback, look no further. Dieter, K&K's head pickup designer, boss and former pro musician says: "If I would still perform live, this would be the system of my choice." The PowerMix Preamp allows for precise sound adjustment of each transducer. It features gain, bass, mid, treble and volume controls for each individual channel and uses low-power consumption parts so that the battery life is up to 120 hours. The output jack is a high quality Switchcraft endpinjack, wired so both channels are mixed together for mono use with a standard mono guitar cord. The preamp can easily be installed deeper inside the guitar as shown in the photo above. The removable attachment system will not damage your guitar's label. For initial adjustment, we recommend a sound-hole placement of the preamp as in the photo. After you are finished adjusting your personal sound, you can choose to position the preamp deeper inside the guitar. The double volume control element (highlighted in the photo above) is designed for internal sound-hole edge mount. For customers who would prefer an external preamp, K&K offer the PowerMix Pure System with the Dual Channel Pro ST Preamp.

PowerMix Trinity
The PowerMix Trinity System is a triple-source bridgeplate pickup /undersaddle transducer / internal mic combination with onboard preamp. It consists of: * Pure pickup (Mini, Classic, or 12-String). * FanTaStick Transducer, an undersaddle pickup that delivers unbeatable volume, balance, and clarity. * Trinity Microphone, featuring an integrated gooseneck (allowing it to be positioned in a number of ways, incuding outside the soundhole) and 20-20,000 Hz frequency range. * The PowerMix 3-Channel Preamp is a triple-channel, onboard preamp with amazing mixing capability. Take advantage of the natural woody tone quality of the Pure Pickup and add the power and definition of the FanTaStick for high volume situations or if you need your guitar to stand out against a back-up band. Use the addition of the internal mic to add air, harmonics and the most natural timbre possible. The PowerMix Preamp allows for precise sound adjustment of each of the 3 sources. It features gain, bass, mid, treble and volume controls for each individual channel and uses low-power consumption parts so that the battery life is up to 120 hours.
