Sales: parts and tools

I can supply a full range of necks, bodies, pickups, machines, scratchplates and other parts to order from companies like WD Music Products, Warmoth Guitar Products and USA Custom Guitars. I also deal with specialists in vintage parts. I am happy to fit parts you've bought if you prefer to acquire them directly.

I regularly order from leading luthiers' suppliers like Stewart-MacDonald and Luthier's Mercantile and can supply tools and equipment for guitar-making projects at competitive prices.

I'll list a few interesting bits and pieces here - usually things I've been looking for and which represent an improvement over what's easily available. I'm not going to list everything I stock or can obtain here, so please feel free to contact me if you're looking for something.

John Pearse strings

I've been using John Pearse strings for a long time now. They're not over-bright when new, and deliver warm, bright, long-lasting string tone. If you're not impressed by the 'leading brands' these may well be worth a try.

There's a very wide range of John Pearse strings - I stock some of the most popular gauges and can get the full range to special order.

Blue Chip picks

Blue Chip picks are produced from a very high grade, self lubricating composite material specially formulated for great playing qualities. These one of a kind picks cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The patent pending material has great tone and speed like tortoise with none of the drawbacks. Blue Chip picks are precision machined, hand bevelled and laser etched. They never need polishing because they do not flake at the corners like tortoise shell picks do. Their self lubricating properties make them extremely fast. If you have been using tortoise picks to get that special tone and speed, try a Blue Chip and you will never go back.

I've been using Clayton Golds, Red Bears and Wegens for a number of years (the usual quest for the perfect pick!) but these are really impressive. I'm sold! Shockingly expensive, but they do deliver! Check out the forums for more opinions.

I stock some of the most popular models and can get the full range to special order.

The TD is Blue Chip's standard teardrop shape pick with two rounded corners and one sharper playing corner. A little narrower than the TP. Right-hand speed bevel.

Rotosound Clawpicks

Many people's favourites until they were discontinued in the early 1980s. These are the last few I have - and the only ones for sale on the internet. Three are NOS, the other two show light use.
