I can supply a wide range of pickguards. I don't try to compete with suppliers fo cheap Far Eastern pickguards, but can offer a variety of good-quality US-sourced designs.
I particularly like the retro Tor-Tis and Tortoloid styles developed by luthiers John Greven and Mario Proulx, which use poured resins and dyes to create individual replicas of vintage styles. I also have a range of mid-price styles for situations where these expensive options aren't appropriate. I'm not going to list everything I stock or can obtain here, so please feel free to contact me if you're looking for something. |

Tor-Tis pickguards
I can supply the full range of Tor-Tis pickguards, developed by the world-renowned luthier John Greven. Greven's Tor-Tis faux tortoise shell is not only strikingly attractive, it's highly durable and provides a sound and feel nearly identical to the real thing. Greven pickguards are individually created using a resin casting technique; actual appearance will differ slightly from the stock photos shown here. Because they are semi-transparent, coloration will change slightly when mounted on a guitar. Please note that I can obtain most of these to special order only. I've tried stocking them, but never seem to have quite the right one! Expect 20-25 days for delivery. Most standard Martin shapes are available, as is the Gibson J200, which looks great in a 'prewar firestripe' style. I can make other shapes to order - see the Custom J-45 in dark Tor-Tis. ***CURRENTLY IN STOCK*** D-28, dark D-28, 50s vintage D-28, 30s vintage D-45, dark (larger internal radius, this is suitable for guitars with abalone soundhole purfling and the like) D-45, 50s vintage (larger internal radius, this is suitable for guitars with abalone soundhole purfling and the like) Others to special order Pre-shaped pickguards are backed with 3M self-adhesive film (as used by Martin, Taylor and others) and ready for installation. For uncut Tor-Tis sheets, the adhesive film needs to be ordered separately.

Pickguard, dreadnought, Tortoloid, dark
Tortoloid is a handsome new pickguard material developed by luthier Mario Proulx, using poured resins and dyes to reproduce the look of actual tortoise shell. Dark brown in color, it has semi-transparent amber areas that intensify the color of the soundboard to complement your guitar's appearance. Tortoloid will add a vintage touch to your guitar. Each Tortoloid pickguard is individually made. Like natural shell, no two have exactly the same pattern. The highly durable material is .030" thin, flexible, and resists shrinkage. It's about half the thickness of the Grevin Tor-Tis material, which can be an advantage on some guitars. The shape is right, too: authentic 1930s Dreadnought. Self-adhesive sheet needs to be purchased separately to attach this pickguard.
